Dassault Systèmes is back to the JEC to show how the Modeling-Simulation approach, based on the 3DEXPERIENCE® platform, transforms the composites discipline and creates more value for customers.

We will highlight various advanced projects as the FINN mast design & simulation or the European Project ZAero to deal with the effect of defect. The FINN mast is a project dedicated to the design of a new composite mast for dinghy racing yacht (FINN) involved in the Olympics for the French National Sailing team. This project demonstrates the application of the Platform to real and complex industry challenge.
The ZAero project is an efficient virtual method to enhance the in-situ monitoring of defects along the lamination process to offer a drastic reduction of the discarded components along the manufacturing process. This topic is highly related to the Material Sciences strategy (Integrated Computational Material Engineering – ICME) to propose a better understanding of composites structures (variability & reliability regarding design & manufacturing process).
