Ms. Yanan TANG, Master's Degree in Engineering, majoring in Materials Processing Engineering, has been engaged in CAE-related work since she graduated in 2011, and joined NIO in 2016, responsible for the simulation work in the development of the electric drive system of ES8, ES6 and other models. She is now the senior manager of the CAE engineering team for electric drive and high voltage systems, and her main research direction is the simulation of strength and durability risk, as well as multi-physics field coupling simulation and optimization.
Fernando DIAZ has been an Engineering Manager at RESEMIN since 2009. He graduated as a Mechanical Engineer at the Engineering National University in Peru. Fernando has worked with CAD, CAE and PDM for over fifteen years. Fernando has hands-on experience in Product Design and Development, and advanced Engineering (Simulation). He has a solid knowledge of engineering standards, regulations, and full-scale tests for mining heavy equipment certifications.
Manuel MORALES is a mechanical designer and structural analyst at RESEMIN. He graduated as a Mechanical Engineer from the Engineering National University in Lima-Peru. Manuel worked with SOLIDWORKS resellers in Peru and Colombia for seven years before joining Resemin six years ago.
Manuel’s expertise stems from working with SOLIDWORKS solutions for the past 13 years. Since 2013, he has been a SOLIDWORKS Elite Applications Engineer and a certified SOLIDWORKS Mechanical Design and Simulation Expert.

Joe graduated from Cambridge University and gained a PhD from Imperial College before joining Jaguar Cars as an aerodynamicist in 1998. Joe was responsible for the aerodynamic development of a number of Jaguar vehicles, using physical tests methods and CFD and eventually became the Technical Specialist for Aerodynamics at JLR. Joe then joined Exa Corporation in 2005, as their first UK employee, in order to focus exclusively on CFD with the PowerFLOW toolset.
At Exa Joe was heavily involved in the development and deployment of the PowerFLOW toolset for automotive and motorsport across the world. In 2017 Exa was acquired by Dassault Systèmes, as part of their SIMULIA Brand. Joe now manages a team dedicated to delivering automated simulation & optimization process to SIMULIA customers worldwide.
After starting in the field of simulation on rapid dynamic techniques such as crash, vulnerability, and explosion, she joined the Dassault Systèmes -Simulia teams in 2006. The missions covered by this team were support, training, service, and benchmarks. Since 2018, she joined the Dassault Systèmes EWEST pre-sales team to participate in transversal simulation projects, with follow-up on customers in the Marine & Offshore and Automotive industries, more particularly for France.
Daniel PYZAK graduated in Mechanical Engineering. He has over 38 years of experience in CAD/CAM/CAE/PLM. After positions held in technical support and product management in various CAD/CAM companies (Cisi, Cisigraph, Matra Datavision), he joined Dassault Systèmes Provence in 1999 to manage the Competency Center. The main activities of DSP Competency Center are around tooling, machining, reverse engineering, rapid prototyping/additive manufacturing and data exchanges.
Ten years later, he became responsible of different CATIA technical teams inside for EMEAR (Design, Engineering). I’m Mark ZAKHEM, I am a Staff Hardware Design and Regulatory Engineer at Inovonics. I received my undergraduate degree from CU Boulder in Electrical Engineering and my master’s degree from CU Boulder with a focus on RF and high-speed design. I have been with Inovonics for over 2 years and my focus of work has been designing custom-printed antennas for our new products. Over the past few years, I have used CST Studio to design our most complicated and unique antennas to date. I presented for CATI for their webinar and at the SIMULIA Americas Users Conference, where I highlighted all the unique solutions and methods used through CST to achieve these complex and unique antenna design solutions. I showcased the capabilities of building unique environments for the antennas, optimizing through parameters, using the 2D/3D results (Electric & Magnetic Fields) and Far Field results for further validation, and an overview of the CST software concerning antenna simulation.
Gene is the Sr. Manager for Structures Engineering for Textron Aviation. His teams are responsible for the structural integrity of all Cessna and Beechcraft piston, turboprop, and jet product lines, i.e. “We make sure the wings don’t come off”. Gene has been part of the structures engineering team, starting with Cessna Aircraft, since 1996. He has participated in the airframe design of more clean-sheet jet aircraft than anyone in the world in that time span.
Gene received a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Nebraska. He is recognized as a Unit Member (UM) for strength analysis as part of Textron Aviation’s Organization Designation Authorization (ODA) office to find compliance on behalf of the FAA. Behrooz SHAHIDI is the Global Vehicle Simulation Integration Manager at Ford Motor Company North America & Europe.
His department has responsibilities of leading Ford CAE disciplines, which include vehicle safety, vehicle durability, vehicle NVH, Thermal System Engineering, and vehicle weight optimization, through all phases of product development – from Architecture concept development through tooling release, testing, and Job 1.
Behrooz has over 20 years of management experience at Ford, leveraging CAE to achieve optimized body and vehicle designs that best balance attribute tradeoffs and performance targets. He has been a core part of Ford’s truck, SUV, car, and future EV vehicle programs. Vehicles he supported include Ford Explorer, F-Series, Ranger, EcoSport, Escape, Fusion, Expedition, Transit, Taurus, Focus, Mustang, and Flex.
Behrooz had a long-standing association with Body Structures CAE, where he supervised the evolution of several vehicle programs. He was leading a team responsible for evaluating Body Stiffness, NVH, and Durability attributes. Since the beginning of 2016, Behrooz has been the Manager for CAE Integration within the Digital innovation group at Ford, where he plans to leverage heavily on a CAE-driven design process.
Behrooz is credited for successfully bringing Dassault SFE into Ford as a key tool to develop vehicle concepts and utilize its powerful features and capabilities to quickly create vehicle concepts and their variants for study. With CATIA and SIMULIA suite of tools (Abaqus, Eyesight, Tosca), Behrooz pioneered and implemented a process using SFE’s abilities to help Ford select a single architecture concept for product design execution. Behrooz is currently exploring leveraging SIMULA for Ford’s new MBSE activities.

Laurent ROTA (Dr.-Ing.) is a mechanical engineering expert in advanced numerical methods, currently in the virtual engineering team in Stellantis, where he is responsible for the digital plan, dedicated to new methodologies and numerical modeling development.
He graduated from Ecole Polytechnique and defended his PhD on inverse problems applied to structural dynamics. He joined PSA Peugeot Citroën (now Stellantis) after a decade at the French Ministry for Defense. He also teaches as an associate professor at ENSTA Paris engineering school.
Frederic MERCERON is the Solution Director for the Transportation & Mobility industry at Dassault Systèmes. His role is to deliver industry-leading solutions for vehicle manufacturers (Cars, Trucks, Buses, Trains, Motorcycle, and Racing) and suppliers to help them innovate, develop, test, and produce new mobility experiences for their consumers.
After finishing his Master's Degree as a mechanical engineer, he worked for KTI as an applications engineer in Knowledge-Based Engineering, working with renowned customers such as Airbus, PSA, Valeo, and Ford.
In 2000, Frederic joined Dassault Systèmes’ CATIA V5 Vehicle Architecture team and helped to introduce V5 solutions for preliminary design at several OEMs. After two years there, he took the leadership of the Vehicle Body-in-White (BiW) team; ensuring Car & Truck OEMs and Suppliers deployed best in class design engineering methodologies.
In January 2007, Frederic moved to SIMULIA, a new brand created after the acquisition of Abaqus, and took the lead of the center of competency. He then helped to develop DS’ SLM solution (Simulation Life cycle Management), strengthened by the additional acquisition 2 years later of Enginous.
Mel CREASEY has recently joined Dassault Systèmes as a SIMULIA Business Development Consultant focusing on the CPG-R Industry.
Mel comes to us following a career of over 30 years with Unilever. There he held various Supply Chain Engineering and R&D Packaging innovation roles at their Port Sunlight and Leeds R&D centres. Most recently, he led the Process Excellence team and the Digital Transformation program for the global packaging community. This supported over 600 developers worldwide, across all business categories and packaging formats.
Mel works with our colleagues worldwide to demonstrate the 3DEXPERIENCE value for packaging development and optimization and ultimately supports Customers in growing their Packaging-related business.
Matthias FRIEDRICH holds a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, from the University of Karlsruhe, Germany. He joined Dassault Systèmes through the acquisition of FE-Design and their non-parametric optimization software Tosca, which has been integrated in various forms into Dassault Systèmes’ 3DEXPERIENCE platform.
Simulation-based optimization has been a recurring theme throughout his professional career. After an award-winning thesis on the first industrial application of Tosca, he worked for more than 5 years on this topic as a CAE project manager at Freudenberg, a leading global supplier of sealing and vibration control products made of rubber.
In his subsequent role as Head of Engineering Services at FE-Design, he supported customers from various industrial sectors in hundreds of simulation-based optimization projects for more than 10 years and helped them roll out optimization strategies in their simulation processes.
After the acquisition of FE-Design by Dassault Systemes, he moved to the worldwide DS sales channel enablement for several years with a focus on optimization and later on the 3DEXPERIENCE platform. Since the beginning of 2023, he has additionally had a CPG-R industry focus and is working with our colleagues worldwide to bring the value of the MODSIM approach to customers in the consumer packaged goods industry, where simulation and optimization play a more and more important role due to the sustainability mandate.
Jonathan is currently Director of High Tech Industry Enablement at Dassault Systèmes SIMULIA where he is responsible for technical content, advanced engagements, and new methodology. Previously he has held leadership positions at a Silicon Valley start-up company and at CST where he looked after North American sales prior to its acquisition by Dassault Systemes in 2016. Jonathan has an engineering background in electronics and electromagnetic simulation and holds a B.Sc. in Electronic Engineering.
Karl D'SOUZA is computational modeling and simulation professional with extensive experience in technology consulting, product management, and business development as they pertain to simulation-based solutions for science and technology companies.
In his current role as Life Sciences Industry Solution Experience Director at Dassault Systèmes, he is responsible for managing the Design and Engineering portfolio of Dassault Systèmes’ solutions for medical devices, bio-pharmaceuticals, and patient care.
Prior to his current role, he helped grow Dassault Systèmes’ Virtual Human Modeling initiative with a special focus on cardiovascular and neurological applications and was a founding member of the Living Heart Project and product manager of the Living Heart Human Model.

Prabhu started his professional career at SFE GmbH, an SMB in Berlin, Germany, as an Applications Engineer to become the VP for the North American business and later the Managing Director of SFE. After its acquisition by Dassault Systèmes, Prabhu successfully managed the merge and integration of SFE GmbH with Dassault Systèmes.
Jaya Raju NAMALA is an Airbus Technology leader with 17 years of experience in solving some of the most challenging aerospace structural problems. Currently, he is playing two parallel leadership roles to enable engineering transformation, one as an Airbus Expert in Advanced nonlinear structural simulations and the other as an Airbus INDIA & South Asia Engineering Technical Referent Community leader.
He is India's first Airbus Tech expert and one of the youngest globally. He takes a lot of pride in developing new methods and shaping the future of Advanced nonlinear structural simulations. He represents Airbus in Several professional bodies and contributes actively to developing modeling and simulation Industry Standards. He is part of the Aerospace Industry working group developing the Modelling and Simulation Credibility Assurance Framework Industry standard.
