Conference Future Composites: Combining Accessible Design, Scalable Simulation and Reliable Manufacture
Composite design offers a large number of opportunities to enhance structures which combine the expectation of high stiffness and strength.. To accurately benefit from the specific properties of composites, a complete virtualization dealing with design, simulation and manufacturing capabilities is expected. The 3DEXPERIENCE Platform has been developed for that purpose to offer a unique and unified way to virtualize things from real life. Among the different challenges in composites, most challenging ones are the ability explore and compare the solutions using composites against homogeneous materials, the unified data model to limit data transfer between tools, the ability to model complex simulations along the manufacturing process, the ability to propose compliant new design and composites layups. To demonstrate how the 3DEXPERIENCE Platform and Dassault-Systèmes knowledge offers a new approach to composite design, we have invited some of our customers, partners and experts to share their approach on the 3DEXPERIENCE Platform.
