Irvin VAZQUEZ is an Applications Engineer at Textron Aviation and president of the Wichita Area Regional User Group. He has years of experience working with Autodesk AutoCAD, various manufacturing environments and is actively using Dassault Systemes products such as CATIA V5, CATIA V6, and ENOVIA. In his current role, he works to provide support, address issues, test production improvements and give training to users.
Born and raised in Wichita, Kansas Thanh has been employed with Spirit Aerosystems for over 12 years. His career began on the 787 program with an internship opportunity in stress engineering which led to a co-op Liaison position. His knowledge in composite stress analysis coupled with liaison repair experience helped streamline the production repair process. During his tenure as Liaison, he became a focal point to training to both engineering and quality organizations. Thanh then moved to the Advanced Manufacturing Deployment team as engineering support to project management. Applying his engineering, quality, and training experience, the successful Pilot of Entry & Galley door panels resulted in the implementation of the new Augmented Reality Digital Inspection process.
With over 20 years of experience developing new product build solutions utilizing the latest tools and processes, Chad has led many diverse teams to execute strategies for implementing new systems, methods, and tools. This development provides Engineers with more time to innovate and solve problems while improving the company's overall capability, quality, and efficiency. He currently leads Spirit's Digital Transformation for Product Development, Spirit ONE™.
Remy BOUTIN is a Senior Application Engineer at Inceptra and has been working in NC Manufacturing for over 25 years. Throughout his career Remy has worked in various roles including NC programming (V4, V5, 3DEXPERIENCE), team lead, training and support.
Chris REMPE is the Manager of the Reverse Engineering and Additive Manufacturing Labs at the National Institute for Aviation Research (NIAR). He has many years’ experience using CATIA V5 and Polyworks as well as many other software utilized with other 3D scanning technologies. Using these tools, the labs provides services to local industries scanning, inspecting and reverse engineering models.
Ray ANDERSON has been using and teaching CATIA since 1991, primarily in the Aerospace & Defense and Automotive Industries with Boeing, Airbus, Beechcraft, Spirit, NIAR, Ford, Daimler-Chrysler, Johnson Controls Interiors, and their suppliers. Starting his career as a Tool Designer, evolving through Instruction, Consulting, Intellectual Property Management, Knowledge Based Engineering, Process Automation, Defense Data Management and most recently into a Drone Designer and FPV Pilot. He has a variety of perspectives and projects that leverage Hardware, Software and Tactile skills to take concepts to Design, Fabrication and implementation. Currently he is focused on Fluidic Design Systems within 3DExperience, and enjoys showing clients the current capabilities, as well as gathering feedback for R&D to consider implementing in the future.
Dr. Behnam AFSHARPOYA is a senior solution consultant at Dassault Systèmes. He provides support for systems engineering, dynamic systems, control, and process simulation tools. He has more than 20 years engineering experience in aerospace, biomedical, automotive, and oil and gas industries and academic background as post-doctorate research assistant and adjunct professor.
Chris DEVRIES is a CATIA Technical Sales Director with a background in aerospace engineering. In his time at Dassault Systèmes, he has worked on exciting customer projects including commercial aircraft, driverless cars, robots, drones, smart devices, and electric vehicles. In his current role, he manages a team of CATIA experts as they engage with customers in North America across all industries.
Steve ERWIN has been with Dassault Systèmes for nearly 28 years, dedicating the majority of his tenure to the infrastructure and technology aspects of DS product offerings. Since 2022, he has served as a North America Cloud Advocate, acting as the primary focal point for DS SaaS solutions in the region. With a strong expertise in cloud technologies, Steve specializes in cybersecurity and regulatory compliance, ensuring that DS cloud solutions meet the highest standards. His work has been instrumental in advancing DS’s most innovative offerings, including regulated cloud environments, ITAR-compliant data support, and the initial launch of a U.S. sovereign cloud solution.

He specializes in helping organizations evaluate, implement, and automate Dassault Systèmes solutions to streamline and optimize their design and manufacturing processes.
