Douglas ORELLANA is ManTech’s Vice President of Intelligent Systems Engineering in the Innovation and Capability Office, focused on the developing the next generation of solutions powered by computing and artificial intelligence.

He has held many roles within systems engineering during his career, most recently serving as Director of Engineering Solutions at SAIC. He was the corporate lead for digital engineering and charged with keeping SAIC in the forefront of industry’s digital engineering transformation. Previous to SAIC, Dr. Orellana worked for Northrop Grumman Corporation for 12 years, holding numerous positions of increasing authority within the systems engineering organization that spanned the life cycle of various systems (unmanned vehicles, special defense, radars, sonars, instrumentation & controls) from concept development to verification and validation. He rose through the ranks and in his final role was a Systems Engineering Manager and lead architect for a Northrop Grumman’s MQ-25 concept.

Dr. PAVALKIS has spent the past 18 years at Dassault Systèmes (No Magic) in the model based solutions and core R&D team. Currently, he is working as MBSE Transformation Leader in systems modeling, simulation, MBSE ecosystem, interfaces and integrations, traceability, and queries. He has received awards from INCOSE CSEP, OMG OCSMP, and the No Magic lifetime modeling and simulation excellence award. He is a community author for the largest SysML simulation channel (youtube.com/c/MBSE Execution) and MBSE success cases blog (blog.nomagic.com), in addition to being an author of multiple papers on MBSE at INCOSE and NDIA. In 2020, Dr. PAVALKIS got NAVAIR a $20M budget for V&V paper implementation. He serves as a representative at INCOSE CAB, supporting MBSE adoption in A&D, T&M and other domains. Major clients include: P&W, Boeing, NASA, BAE Systems, Raytheon Technologies, NGC, FORD. Dr. PAVALKIS received his BS and MS in Telecommunication and Electronics and a Ph.D. in Computer Science from (Kaunas University of Technology).
