Using realistic simulation for virtual prototypes instead of physical testing helps to become faster in product development in all industries, also in CPG-R. For plastic bottles, one of the most used packages for primary packaging in this industry, we can find applications from different physics: besides the structural behavior of the bottles and caps, the production process the manufacturing of the plastic parts themselves needs to be considered, for example by simulation of plastic injection molding. And also fluid dynamics simulations can play an important role to create bottles and caps for improved behavior in production line or a better consumer experience.

As all simulations are built and executed with Dassault Systemes 3DExperience platform using the MODSIM approach, design updates can be applied easily on all downstream simulation models, and parametric design studies can be set up and executed in a very simple way.
