This e-seminar presents a workflow for fatigue calculations of linear flexible structures that are embedded in multibody systems.
The workflow for fatigue calculations of linear flexible structures takes advantage of a combination of structural analysis in Abaqus and fe-safe combined with multibody system analysis with Simpack. In this e-seminar, we will demonstrate a workflow based on linear model reduction techniques (modal stress recovery), which enables due to its numerical efficiency the consideration of realistic simulation scenarios for detailed finite element models.
Examples from the Transportation and Mobility industry are discussed. The important topic of selecting the right modes for the multibody system simulation and the model order reduction of the finite element model is also discussed.
