Thomas GRAND became Vice President, Energy & Materials Industry, Dassault Systèmes, in 2016.
He drives industry adoption of a new digital perspective of the full business lifecycle – innovation to recycling – to deliver sustainable life for the 21st century. Thomas helps companies in power, metals and minerals, chemicals, mining, and oil and gas create efficient and sustainable materials, processes, and facilities using Dassault Systèmes’ 3DEXPERIENCE platform.
Thomas began his career with British Energy as a systems engineer at Sizewell B nuclear power plant and then specialized in energy consulting and project management for IBM Business Consulting Services and AREVA. He joined corporate marketing at AREVA for the market analysis of nuclear and renewables, and later was vice president of strategic marketing.
Thomas has a master’s degree in energy management from the joint program of BI Norwegian Business School, IFP School in France, and ESCP Europe Business School, a bachelor’s degree in digital systems engineering from the University of West of England, and an associate’s degree in power engineering and industrial automation from Claude Bernard University in France.
Lou is an executive, industrial leader, speaker, and business achiever with particular expertise in energy and climate change. MARTINEZ SANCHO has over 20 years of progressive experience leading teams in an array of industries, including bio-tech, energy, automotive, and architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC).
She has focused on accelerating the innovation of the energy industry by developing strategic integration of technologies as key solutions against climate change, guaranteeing energy supply security, and competitiveness of energy prices.
Lou MARTINEZ SANCHO is the former Chief Innovation Officer of Spie Batignolles and also served as Vice President of Global Innovation at Framatome Groupe (formerly AREVA). MARTINEZ SANCHO earned a bachelor’s degree from Ramon Llull University in Barcelona and obtained two Master of Science degrees in Physiology and Biomechanics at Pierre et Marie Curie-Paris VI University, and in Human Factors Engineering at René Descartes-Paris V University. MARTINEZ SANCHO is a certified Master Black Belt Lean Six Sigma by The Ohio State University.
Mingfei LIU is the Deputy Director of Envision Energy in charge of R&D digitalization transformation.
Prior to joining Envision, Mr. LIU has rich experiences as an expert in the digitalization domain. He ever served as Senior Strategy Consultant for Dassault Systèmes, where he provided digitalization transformation consulting services to more than 200 customers over various industries. Prior to that, Mr. LIU had served as China Solution Center Head at PTC.
Mr. LIU holds a master’s degree in Software Engineering from Shanghai FUDAN university and is studying for a Ph.D. in Smart Manufacture in Shanghai DONGHUA university.
Simon PERRAUD holds a Master of Science from ESPCI Paris (2004), a Ph.D. in Physics from the Université Pierre et Marie Curie (2007), and a Habilitation degree from the Université Grenoble Alpes (2013). From 2004 to 2007, he was a doctoral researcher at the Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation (Japan), investigating the electronic properties of semiconductor hetero-structures. He was a recipient of the Award of the Japan Society of Applied Physics in 2008.
Simon joined CEA (France) in 2008. He is currently deputy director in charge of research funding programs at Liten, an institute of CEA, with about 1,000 staff focused on the development of innovative technologies for the energy transition. He is also vice chairman at EMIRI (Energy Materials Industrial Research Initiative), a member of the executive board at EASE (European Association for Storage of Energy), and a member of the Management Team at BATTERIES EUROPE (European Technology and Innovation Platform on batteries). Simon is the author or co-author of more than 40 articles in peer-reviewed international journals and has filed more than 30 patents.
