Duane SAWYER is a seasoned professional in product development, spanning the entire spectrum from conceptualization to manufacturing. With a rich background in the plastics industry, Duane has honed his expertise in product and mold design, along with various production-related roles across diverse sectors.
His journey with Simpoe injection molding simulation software commenced in 2012, although his familiarity with the software predates his formal engagement, having previously purchased it. Duane regards Simpoe as a comprehensive encapsulation of his career's essence.
Within Simulia, Duane has actively contributed to the advancement of SolidWorks Plastics and Injection Mold Engineer roles. He advocates for the evolution of products that transcend mere injection molding simulation, aiming to augment the toolset for plastic part development.
Throughout his career, Duane has championed the integration of technology to revolutionize the design process, with a primary objective of expediting the journey of plastic products to market while elevating their quality and minimizing costs.
Yunfei joined SIMULIA in 2014 after finishing his Ph.D. at Washington University in St. Louis. He has worked on R&D initiatives, including MODSIM for injection molded plastics, battery cells, iterative solver, and realistic human simulations. His current role is to manage R&D CSPs in CPG-R, IE, HT industries in NAM and AP.
Huidi JI is a member of the nonlinear mechanics team. She has been working on the multiscale technology in Abaqus solver for almost 10 years. During this period, she developed the mean field homogenization in both the Abaqus Standard and Explicit solver. She has also been a key member developing the sequential workflow for multiphysics simulations.
