Attendees at Science in the Age of Experience 2019 in Boston experienced three connected sessions on Better Living, Sustainable Planet and Product Innovation – wide-ranging topics of critical current importance to government, industry and society. Each session began with a presentation from a renowned thought leader in Science. It continued with an executive presentation highlighting today’s challenges and concluded with a customer panel discussion and a technical demonstration.
Speakers included Lisa Randall, Michio Kaku, Hugh Herr, Jennifer Wilcox and Neil Gershenfeld with corporate speakers from Corbion, Sanofi and Fermenich. Panelists included Biogen, BioSerenity, CELLINK, SRK Consulting, Purdue University, Volvo Truck Technology, ECCO Shoes, Base 11 and Joby Aviation. A talk from the US FDA completed the Better Living session.
The conference demonstrated that Science is everywhere and that Dassault Systèmes is a scientific company. By creating and virtually sharing scientific knowledge, we can truly innovate and avoid the inevitable waste of a trial-and-error approach. We can reduce risk and costs, getting it right the first time, and then do it again to sustain innovation and solve the challenges facing society.
