Chris WALDON is an experienced leader in the design and delivery of complex programmes with first-of-a-kind (FOAK) endeavours containing unprecedented systems, structures and components. Spherical Tokamak for Energy Production (STEP) is a programme run by UKAEA to develop a prototype fusion powerplant and establish the enterprise needed to deliver commercially viable fusion energy.
Colin has nearly 40 years’ experience of Digital solutions across a range of safety-critical regulated industries including aerospace, rail, ports, utilities and construction. His experience has been gained, both as an independent consultant, for a ‘big five’ consultancy and in director-level roles working for leading European corporations. He has been advising the Hinkley Point new nuclear build for the last six years.
Sam leads the digital transformation for AtkinsRéalis’ Nuclear sector and works with project teams and partners around the world to accelerate innovation within the sector. The portfolio spans the nuclear lifecycle supporting new builds, reactor operations decommissioning, and waste management.

Sam is a Chartered Civil Engineer with two decades of experience working in various technical delivery, management, leadership, strategy, and business development roles across the Nuclear industry and the wider energy sector.
