Lauren leads circular economy content and coverage as the Director & Senior Analyst on Circular Economy at GreenBiz Group. Spearheading program development for Circularity and VERGE Circular, and as author of the Circular Weekly newsletter, Lauren focuses on defining, elevating and accelerating circular solutions with an emphasis on value chain engagement and cross-sector collaboration. Previously, Lauren managed business development at GreenBiz Group. She holds a BA in Environmental Analysis and Sociology from Pitzer College.
Lauren works with some of the world’s largest organisations to drive impact, at scale and at pace – whether by finding new ways to drive growth through sustainability, ways to reduce costs and drive value through new business models or looking at how digital technologies can help create innovative new opportunities. Her experience includes work across nearly all sectors and industries, working to champion impact and innovation at the largest scales. She is hugely interested in how we can prove the business case for sustainability, and how sustainability can truly be a driver for growth and competitiveness, helping ensure companies are around for the next 100+ years.
Alice Steenland joined Dassault Systèmes in 2020 as the company’s first Chief Sustainability Officer.
Previously, she was the founding Chief Corporate Responsibility Officer at AXA Group, where she helped the company rise to a leading position in global sustainability rankings, thanks in part to a pioneering responsible investment strategy including the landmark decision to divest from coal and, later, tobacco. Prior to joining AXA, she led the investor research arm of Vigeo (now a subsidiary of Moody’s), worked in the business consulting unit of Arthur Andersen, and acted as an independent consultant in the field of strategic planning for Save the Children USA.
Alice currently serves as a board member of ShareAction and Arvella Investments, as a lecturer at France’s Ecole Polytechnique and as an advisory committee member at the Yale School of Management, the impact fund Giant Ventures, and the leading French sustainability think tank IDDRI.
Alice Steenland received her bachelor’s degree in human biology from Stanford University and an MBA from the Yale School of Management.
Lucas joined Dassault Systèmes in 2015. He has been leading Dassault Systèmes program on sustainable innovation at the brand level – ensuring alignment between R&D, Marketing and Sales to ensure Dassault Systèmes technology is ready to enable and accelerate a more sustainable and circular industry.
He has previously worked in information management consulting at PwC, and also in the non-profit world by leading AIESEC, the world´s largest student run organization as Country Manager for Colombia and Global CIO.
Lucas holds a bachelor and master in Computer Science from Universidad EAFIT and a second master`s degree in Engineering & Policy Analysis from DELFT University of Technology.
