EMPLOYABILITY MADE REAL THROUGH PROJECT BASED LEARNING & VIRTUAL TWINS
  • Mehdi Tarkian, University of Linkoping on Project Based        Learning
  • Henrik Kihlman, Chalmers University on Smart                      Manufacturing
  • Emelina Mujkanovic, Dassault Systèmes, Moderator

You will hear from leading Universities how they use Virtual Tech and cutting edge tools to boost their students’              employability and focus on Project-Based Learning. By        using 3Ddesign, modelling and simulation as well as a          platform approach, Universities are equipping their                engineering students with the skills needed for them to      bring value to the industry shortly after graduation. They    are also giving students an opportunity to develop                collaborative/problem solving skills needed to overcome      sustainability challenges.

7:45 AM to 8:15 AM
Break for network and playground
8:15 AM to 8:45 AM
WHICH ENGINEERING SKILLS FOR A SUSTAINABLE FUTURE?
  • Johan Malmqvist, Chair professor in product development,  Dept. Industrial & Materials Science, Chalmers University
  • Tanja Balic, 4G & 5G Manager at Packet Core, Ericsson
  • Prof. Dr Stefan Christiernin, Head of Strategic Knowledge    and Research at Volvo Cars
  • Kristina Sturesson, Talent Acquisition Senior Manager,         Dassault Systèmes
  • Leo Wu, CEO of start-up Lumeo Technology AB
  • Jasmine Bjork, Dassault Systèmes, Moderator

Industry [big & small] and University leaders will come         together to discuss about the digital and human skills         needed for a resilient future. Society and governments are   expecting the industry will develop innovative solutions to   tackle climate change and resource scarcity and new           skillsets will be needed to address these efficiently and       quickly. The dialogue between the panellists and the             audience will help outline where skills gaps are and how a     partnership between industry and academia can help.

8:45 AM to 9:15 AM
Break for network and playground
9:15 AM to 10:00 AM
HOW DO WE MAKE THIS SUSTAINABILITY TRANSITION HAPPEN? (Interactive session)
