Robert POWELL is a SIMULIA Industry Process Expert Senior Specialist at Dassault Systèmes, where he currently works in the department responsible for improvements in noise simulation workflows for vehicles with a focus on aeroacoustics.
Robert holds S.B., S.M., and Sc.D. degrees in mechanical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. His expertise is with simulation and measurement of noise & vibration in vehicles, having worked in this field already for over 40 years. Previously he worked for Ford Motor Company and for Exa Corporation, which was acquired by Dassault Systèmes in 2017.
Max QUIRING is a SIMULIA Multibody Simulation Industry Process Expert Specialist at Dassault Systèmes, where he currently works on projects regarding noise and vibration in electric drive applications and support for customers using Simpack.
Max has an M.Sc in mechanical engineering from the Karlsruher Institute of Technology. His expertise is simulation of multibody systems using Simpack with focus on NVH behavior of drivetrain components, especially gearboxes and bearings. He joined Dassault Systèmes in 2019.
Phil SHORTER has over 20 years of experience in the development of commercial vibro-acoustic simulation software. He was one of the co-founders of wave six LLC and led the teams responsible for the research, development, promotion and support of the wave6 software.
After the acquisition of wave six LLC by Dassault Systèmes, he has continued to lead the vibro-acoustics team as part of his role as a Senior R&D Director within SIMULIA. Phil holds a PhD in vibro-acoustics from the University of Auckland, New Zealand.
