Jeswin Joseph CHANKARAMANGALAM has worked in the advanced manufacturing and composites industry with varying roles across at Wichita State University’s National Institute for Aviation Research for the last 14 years. He is a graduate of Wichita State University and an expert in advanced materials, additive manufacturing, composites manufacturing, and emerging technologies. In his current role as Research and Program Manager for Emerging Technologies, UAV, and the CAD/CAM series of labs; he assists the Lab Director with research and development, strategic planning, business development, and program management of the various initiatives at the 3DEXPERIENCE Center and other NIAR campuses at Wichita State University. He leads to many new product developments and is actively involved in multiple projects that are being patented. He also serves as the Vice-President of the Wichita Chapter of the Society for the Advancement of Material and Process Engineering (SAMPE) and is a Faculty Advisor for various student organizations on the Wichita State University campus.
Dr. Garrett THURSTON leads the digital transformation and strategy services architecture competencies at Dassault Systèmes. Garrett has worked on a variety of efforts involving MBSE, engineered resilient systems, contributing significantly to the team positioning of future vertical lift (FVL). Historically, Garrett has worked with most of the A&D captures at Dassault Systèmes helping clients see how to derive maximal value from their investment, while shortening their time to value.Prior to joining Dassault Systèmes, Garrett Thurston built and managed the Aerospace, Defense, and Security division of Foliage, a Boston area product-consulting and development firm acquired by Altran. Projects under his direction included several Boeing 787 systems, Rolls-Royce (large and small engine) regulated product lines initiative, the power distribution system software for X-47B and RATTLRS, Counter-Suicide Bomber Detection System, avionics, and a STANAG-4586 Compliant Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Control System, as well as certain air vehicle onboard systems i.e. laser safety.Garrett has worked at multiple Aerospace and Defense contractors In these roles he managed budget, schedule, and staff and engaged in a variety of research, development, and manufacturing technology programs for the agencies such as DOE, USAF, NASA, ONR, and DARPA.
