He joined Dassault Systèmes in 2011 and carries more than 21 years of experience across different industries. He has driven key transformational projects in various industries including Automotive, Aerospace and Defense, High-tech, and Government. In his previous role at Dassault Systèmes, as Director of Global Affairs and Innovative Business Development, he was instrumental to establish new partnerships by engaging in smart city projects and by developing industry-based programs for the workforce of the future.

Vice President, Aerospace & Defense, David ZIEGLER leads the Dassault Systèmes Worldwide Aerospace & Defense Business through the development of its Industry-leading Solution Experiences, based on the 3DEXPERIENCE platform. Prior to Dassault Systèmes, David held multiple positions in the Aerospace industry, including 12 years at Airbus both in France and the U.S., holding positions in Strategy, Sales, and Business development, and most recently at Aéroports de Paris. A French citizen, David’s career in aerospace began when he obtained his Masters of Science in Aerospace Engineering from Supaero, followed by an MBA from INSEAD. Passionate about everything that flies, he also enjoys kite-surfing and spending time with his wife and two children, when he is not on a plane.

Sanjay was part of the team that built India's first student nano-satellite project, was part of the team that built India's first private satellite & he was also part of the team that built the Velox series of satellites from Singapore. Sanjay is a seasoned entrepreneur in the space industry with rich experience of working with start-ups and mid sized businesses building products and services in the area of Small Satellites, Satcom Technologies, Sensors & Connected Devices. Through Dhruva Space, he is focussed on enabling organisations to leverage the potential of small satellites.
Dr. Subba Rao PAVULURI is a technologist and an entrepreneur with extensive experience in Indian Space Program (ISRO) for over four decades. He was one of those early pioneers of private industry in high technology areas. He founded “Ananth Technologies Limited (ATL)” in 1993 for Design, Development and Fabrication of highly reliable systems and sub-systems for Indian Space Programme (ISRO) and Indian Defence. ATL has now grown to an entity of 1500 of highly qualified and skilled technical personnel and is the recipient of several technology excellence awards.
ATL has facilities located in Hyderabad, Bangalore and Thiruvananthapuram and has contributed so far for 88 satellites and 67 launch vehicles for Indian Space Programme. ATL is the first private industry to set up assembly, integration and testing facilities for satellite and launch vehicles.
Dr Rao is endeavouring to bring out the full potential of satellite communication systems, especially for country of the size and diversity like India, for various applications and in tapping new areas of applications. Awais AHMEDis the founder and CEO of Pixxel, a global space data company based out of Bengaluru, India and Los Angeles, USA. Pixxel is building a constellation of high resolution hyperspectral imaging small-satellites to provide information rich data globally every day. Awais founded Pixxel in 2019 at the age of 21 years while still pursuing undergraduate studies in India, with the vision of establishing a global space company working on bringing the benefits of space down to earth. Pixxel's first hyperspectral satellite, which also happens to be India's first private commercial satellite, is booked to launch in late 2021 with a second one to follow soon in early 202. Awais was previously one of the founding members and engineering lead at Hyperloop India, the only Indian and one of the 24 global finalist teams in the SpaceX Hyperloop Pod Competition where they built India's first ever hyperloop pod and presented it to Elon Musk.
A former officer in French Navy, Mathieu J. WEISS holds master degrees in politics and defence business administration from Strasbourg and Paris Universities. WEISS entered the Strategic Research Centre of Ecole Polytechnique where he published several reports on European space policies before joining the astronaut directorate of French national space agency CNES in 1996. After a 5 years industrial experience within the Euro-Russian Soyuz launch vehicle operator Starsem and at Arianespace, he integrated the French diplomatic service as the negotiator for space to the European Union in Brussels.
From 2009, WEISS headed the science and technology department of the French embassy in Berlin. As of 2013, WEISS was called up to create and run a permanent representation in Bangalore for the French space agency. He established the CNES regional liaison office for India, Australia and South Africa, with diplomatic rank. WEISS was instrumental in negotiating the Indo-French space cooperation programme signed 2015 in Paris with Hon’ PM of India and the President of France. He enabled several joint satellite and space exploration projects between India and France and finalised the CNES participation in the Gaganyaan human spaceflight programme.
Narayan is Chief Operations Officer at satsearch, a global marketplace for space, helping engineers source products & services from global suppliers for ground, launch, and space. Narayan is a space entrepreneur and policy professional with an outstanding track record of building and leading spacetech initiatives. Alongside his business experience Narayan is also an Associate Research Fellow at the European Space Policy Institute and an advisor to SEDS India.
Sunil is one of the visionaries behind Azista BST Aerospace (ABA) – the joint venture between Azista Industries and Berlin Space Technologies. The company's goal is to bring about the Henry Ford Moment for Satellite manufacturing. To this end, he steered the company’s focus towards enabling mass manufacturing for satellites. As a logical step to implement this vision, ABA has built a factory with a capacity to manufacture 100 satellites in the 50Kg to 150Kg category.
Sunil graduated from the Indian School of Business in 2016 and played an important role in founding Azista’s small satellite and composites entities. Through ABA, Sunil is working to create a vertically integrated satellite manufacturing company that can provide end-to-end solutions for constellations.
Sunil currently serves as a Director on the Board of Azista’s 3 group companies, Azista Industries, Azista Composites and Azista-BST Aerospace (ABA).

Rakesh SASIBHUSHAN is the Chairman and Managing Director Antrix, the commercial arm and PSU under the Indian Space Research Organization. He is a propulsion expert from ISRO who took over as CMD, ANTRIX from 1st June 2016. He believes, that as far as space is concerned, sky is not the limit.
Ravikiran POTHUKUCHI leads Dassault Systèmes’ Manufacturing & Logistics business in India. His role is to define the business strategy to expand Dassault Systèmes’ solution footprint in India’s rapidly growing manufacturing & logistics sectors.
Ravikiran started his career with Dassault Systèmes in 2004, donned various roles within its R&D organization before moving into a business development role in 2011. In 2017, he took the countrywide responsibility to grow the market share in its core industry verticals. Having delivered a YoY double-digit growth for the last 4 years, he is entrusted with the responsibility to tap the growth potential of India’s manufacturing & logistics sectors.
A graduate of premier academic institutions IIT-Madras, IIM-Bangalore, he is also a DAAD scholar and a member of several industry bodies such as SAE and IFCCI.
Renuka SRINIVASAN is currently SIMULIA Sales Director for India. In her current role, she is responsible for the SIMULIA business in India. Prior to this, she was WW Services Director for SIMULIA. Renuka has over twenty years of experience in the simulation business and was instrumental in setting up the SIMULIA business in India.
She was worked with customers across a variety of industries including automotive, aerospace and defense, industrial equipment manufacturers, civil engineering, engineering services providers, among others. She was a Bachelors in Civil Engineering from BITS, Pilani, and a Masters from Duke University.
SIMULIA Technology Update and Highlights
SIMULIA is a Simulation brand within Dassault Systèmes, the 3DEXPERIENCE company. We provide technology for simulation in each domain – covering Structures, Fluids, Electromagnetics, Multibody, Vibro-acoustics, and Automation & Optimization. This presentation offers a brief overview of these technologies and illustrates that you are using the same technology (per domain) whether you are a standalone product user or are a 3DEXPERIENCE platform user. We then highlight multidisciplinary and multiscale solutions of select industry processes and workflows. We also introduce a new unified licensing model that provides access to all solvers from the same license pool. The new model includes a cost-effective approach to encourage simulation-based design exploration. The presentation concludes with a peek into the remainder of the RUM agenda, including deep-dive sessions in each domain.
Rohan M GANAPATHY is CEO & CTO of Bellatrix Aerospace, a new space company (incorporated in 2015) involved in indigenous development and manufacture of advanced in-space propulsion systems. He is an Aeronautical Engineer and his areas of work include electric propulsion, rocket propulsion and space systems engineering. Rohan developed and patented the Microwave Plasma Thruster, an advanced type of electric propulsion system that runs on water as propellant and offers various advantages compared to existing technologies.
He was also featured under 'Forbes 30 under 30' lists for India and Asia in 2018. Rohan was selected part of 'Club Young Leaders 2020' by the Government of France and was also listed on 'Deccan Herald Changemakers 2020' list. Bellatrix Aerospace has also supplied Microwave Plasma Thrusters to ISRO for their application. Bellatrix was awarded the TDB National Award 2017 from the Hon'ble President of India for development of technology with potential for commercialization. Bellatrix has raised $3 million in funding from Indian investors to support space qualification of its propulsion systems. In 2020, Bellatrix won National Startup Award, ET Best on Campus Award and was also list under ET India's Top Innovative MSME Rankings.
