Michael BOGDANOR

Director, Composites Virtual Factory, Purdue University


Michael Bogdanor is the Director of the Composites Virtual Factory in the Composites Manufacturing & Simulation Center at Purdue University. Originally from Columbia, MD, Mike received his B.S. Civil Engineering from Villanova University and Ph.D. Civil Engineering from Vanderbilt University. His doctoral research focused on the prediction of failure in composite materials using multiscale modeling and uncertainty quantification. He joined Purdue University in 2016 to support the university’s role as the Design, Modeling, and Simulation technology area of the Institute for Advanced Composites Manufacturing Innovation. His primary focus is on developing integrated simulation workflows for composite structures that support design for manufacturing informed performance.
