François-Xavier Dumez is the Vice President of Marine & Offshore Industry at Dassault Systèmes from 2021. He is working for M&O for more than 30 years, starting at Research Engineer in Naval Hydrodynamic at the French Ministry of Defense - DGA, becoming next responsible of the Numerical Hull Optimization Division. He has moved next to the Bureau Veritas Classification society to be part of the development of the new generation of VERISTAR products. In 2003, he funded GranitX to develop SILEX, an innovative ultra-fast tool for ship hull modeling and structure mesh generation. In 2010 he joined Dassault Systèmes in South Korea as responsible of the Marine Structure specialized applications before becoming the Program Director of Meyer Werft R&D cooperation program and next responsible of the full China CSSC Group 3DEXPERIENCE adoption program in 2015.
