As products become more complex, the corresponding industrial systems required to manufacture them also become increasingly sophisticated. This presentation highlights how integrating Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies early in the development process of industrial systems can secure producibility and strategic alignment for a new program. By providing a deeper understanding of the entire industrial system's behavior during the conceptual design phase, MBSE helps to analyze and address the producibility of a new program. As a result, it can be determined whether the existing supply chain and production facilities can still meet the strategic goals for the new product. It will also be shown how leveraging early-stage trade-off analysis enables informed decision-making about necessary changes in the supply chain or at the production station level to ensure alignment with the intended production rates.
