Frédéric GAL attended the ENS Cachan Génie Civil (Civil Engineering) and obtained a master's degree specializing in the optimization of energy systems at the Ecole des Mines in Paris. He held various positions at Bouygues Construction. Reporting of the Group's carbon footprint, Head of Sustainable Development at Bouygues Bâtiment Ile-de-France, Head of Design and Pricing Studies, up to the position of Director of Engineering in a subsidiary of Bouygues Bâtiment Île-de-France. Today, at Bouygues Construction, Frédéric Gal is director of the modernization project of the company's commercial activities, where he leads the digital transformation.
John CERONE is a Principal who leads SHoP’s Virtual Design and Construction teams, including all technology visioning initiatives and the development of bespoke technology tools. John is recognized internationally as a leader in exploring the future uses of technology in design and construction. He currently represents SHoP at the Design Futures Council, as well as leading our work with Dassault Systèmes as part of a transdisciplinary group that includes Boeing and Tesla. His work at SHoP includes a lead role in developing the technologies behind the success of the Barclays Center, the VDC-driven delivery of the Botswana Innovation Hub, and ongoing technology and exhibitions project at the Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum in New York.
Josh MASON is a former Associate Partner at Foster + Partners. Now he has created his own firm. Driven by a vision for a construction industry that understands and acts upon its impact on the environment, Josh bring together a deep knowledge of geometry, fabrication, and the circular economy with expertise in digital design tools. His greatest gratification comes from collaborating to find elegant solutions to complex challenges in pursuit of this goal. From interactive early stage design tools to additive manufacturing in steel, the common thread through all his work has been honing his digital craft to capture relationships between disciplines in pursuit of sustainable design solutions.
