This symposium discusses megatrends related to Food Sustainability, Food Security, in the context of the rising global population and consumer awareness of health & wellness.
The aim of this joint symposium between Bioinformatics Institute of A*STAR and Dassault Systèmes is to create opportunities for cross-disciplinary research on topics such as Food Sustainability, Food Security, Food Safety and Agri-Tech in the context of the rising Global Population & Urbanization.
The food and beverage industry is ever-changing. As the world population grows and more consumers prioritize health and wellness, companies need to be prepared to address these demands. However, not all stakeholders have the tools to effectively face these challenges in the most effective way possible. Traditional data analytics already has significant applicability within science-driven industries. However, artificial intelligence (AI) can help develop new, personalized, better-performing, and more cost-effective ingredients, flavors and fragrances in a faster and more efficient way than with physical testing and experimentation alone. These techniques enable to accelerate the stages of acquiring characterizing, cleaning and modeling data, and subsequently transform data into insights for new products by running optimizations and suggesting new experiments.
