Kachi has an Electrical Engineering background with over 16 years of experience in product development, manufacturing, testing, and regulatory compliance spanning many industries. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus in RF/Microwave engineering from Morgan State University in Baltimore, Maryland, where he also worked part-time as a lab assistant in the Microwave and Microelectronics Laboratory. His Senior Design Project titled “Analysis and Design of a Microstrip Patch Antenna”, marked his initial exposure to computational electromagnetics using 3D Full Wave Modeling and Simulation tools. He spent a number of years working in roles of increasing responsibility at various companies and gaining specialized experience in solving EMI/EMC issues before going back to earn a Master’s degree in electrical engineering from University of Southern California in Los Angeles with a focus area in Electromagnetics, Optics, and Photonics, and a Master’s degree in engineering management also from the University of Southern California.
Prior to joining Dassault Systèmes, Kachi worked as EMI/EMC Modeling and Characterization Engineer at Laird Technologies (now Laird Performance Materials, a DuPont Business) where he used advanced modeling tools, including CST Studio Suite, to support customer application/co-engineering efforts and internal R&D teams in the development of EMI control materials ranging from board-level shields to RF absorbers and radomes.
A common theme of many of the roles Kachi has held, has been the successful implementation of simulation tools to achieving robust technical solutions, and thus Kachi has always been an advocate for the use of modeling and simulations in the product development process.
Kachi is a Senior Member of the IEEE and his personal interests and hobbies include soccer, music and theatre, Formula One car racing, cycling, hiking, and beach activities.
Rachana MALLYALA is a SIMULIA Industry Process Consultant with 7 years’ of experience in the field of computational fluid dynamics (CFD). At Dassault Systèmes, she has worked on several customer engagements in the field of aeroacoustics, thermal management, fluid-structure interaction (FSI) along with DOE & optimization across industry different segments such as Industrial Equipment (IE), Transportation & Mobility (T&M), and Lifesciences & Healthcare (LS&H). Rachana has also presented her work in the field of CFD at several conferences including NAFEMS UK, CAASE USA, and Dassault’s MODSIM among others. In this webinar, she will share insights and best practices on SIMULIA’s unique CFD modeling and thermal management solutions for IE and T&M, drawing on her extensive experience in the field.
