    Sylvain Laurent was appointed Executive Vice President, 3DS Business Transformation (BT) of Dassault Systèmes in April 2011.

    In this position, he is responsible for sales to large accounts, as well as for 3DS solutions and services worldwide. He is also a member of the executive committee.

    Mr. Laurent joined Dassault Systèmes in 2008 as head of BT Sales in Europe with a solid experience in large accounts management. He has been instrumental in enabling Dassault Systèmes to pursue the transformation of its “go-to-market” strategy.

    Mr. Laurent has more than 25 years of experience in PLM domain, having worked previously at Siemens PLM Software and IBM PLM, as well as having created a PLM Consulting and System integration company.

    Konno is responsible for setting the strategic direction and overseeing overall performance of the company in the region. This includes driving profitability and ensuring operational efficiency.

    He officially took on the role in 2016 and, currently, leads a team of 600 staff across the region. Prior to taking on the current appointment, Konno was Vice President, Asia, at BIOVA, Dassault Systèmes.

    He joined Dassault Systèmes when the company he was working for Accelrys was acquired in 2014. At Accelrys, he grew the business by almost four fold to USD40 million and transformed the sales approach from being primarily product based to solution based over an 11-year period.

    Prior to joining Dassault Systèmes, Steven has held senior management, business development, and sales roles in both multinational corporations and regional companies in Asia. These include Hong Leong Asia, Eltete TPM (Finland), and Hitachi Sunway Information Systems. With his strong experience from a manufacturing, consultative solution background and exposure in the region countries, he believes strongly in sharing, coaching and helping customers and partners alike to grow in their business locally and overseas.

    Steven holds a B. Business in Marketing degree and a Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing (UK).

    Dr. Pichet Durongkaveroj has assumed his position as Minister of Digital Economy and Society since December 2016. Prior to that he held the Minister of Science and Technology portfolio for over two years during which many progressive changes have been widely implemented. An outstanding career in the field of public policy, he has contributed to his country the design, formulation, and implementation of major national policies including science & technology, innovation, ICT, e-commerce, and education. His contributions have also been extended to international collaboration notably to ASEAN, APEC, UNCTAD, OECD, WHO, ITU etc., as well as establishing effective scientific diplomacy to bilateral, multilateral relations, and inter-agency collaborations.

    Prior to his appointments to both ministerial portfolios, he founded and headed many important organizations including Secretary General of the National Science Technology and Innovation Policy Office, Executive Director of the Knowledge Network Institute of Thailand, Director of Electronic Commerce Resource Center, Chairman of the e-ASEAN working group, Director of the National Information Technology Committee Secretariat Office.

    His policy track records have sustained long-term impacts to national and international development. A policy architect who understands the roles of integration and partnerships domestically and internationally, Dr. Durongkaveroj has been instrumental in establishing many policy platforms such as university-industry linkages, ASEAN integration, community water management, and most recently championing tech startup campaign. He is currently concentrating on digital development and digital for development covering broadband infrastructure to all 75,000 villages nationwide, smart cities, digital park innovation development, digital community covering e-commerce, e-health, e-government, and human resource capacity development.

    Dr.Pichairat graduated Bachelor of Engineer in Industrial Engineering from Chulalongkorn University in 1984, graduated M.B.A. in Marketing Management from National Institute of Development Administration (NIDA) in 1991 and graduated Ph.D. in Technology Management from Technological University of the Philippines in 2002.

    He has joined Petroleum Authority of Thailand, currently known as PTT Public Company Limited, since 1987; firstly, he was appointed as Section Head, Industrial Sales Division in Oil Business Sector, few years later, he was appointed as Assistant Vice President; Marketing & Joint Venture South East Asia Region during 1994 - 1997

    Year 1997; he was in charge in international business establishment in the Philippines. Later during 1998-2002; he was appointed as a Vice President of PTT Philippines Inc. - one of the first international oil company entry in the Philippines. After finished his term in the Philippines, he was reappointed to PTTPLC; to manage a big change of business process for entire PTTPLC., from Oracle system into SAP System as a Chang Agent for Enterprise Resource Planning Program during 2003 - 2005.

    Year 2006; He was selected by Department of Energy, represented Thailand to work as Deputy Executive Director for ASEAN Center for Energy – an international organization in Jakarta, Indonesia. As his experiences in international networking in ASEAN, one year later, he was reappointed to PTT group of company as a Team Leader for Corporate Business Development – PTT International, before his newly assignment in January 2009 at Thaioil ethanol Co., Ltd as Managing Director. Thaioil Ethanol Co.,Ltd. is a wholly own company by Thaioil Public Company Limited, the largest Refinery companies listed in the Stock Exchange of Thailand - a subsidiary of PTT Group.

    Year 2011; after finished his term in Thaioil Ethanol, PTT assigned him to work for International Trading Business Unit of PTTPLC as Vice President – International chartering, a year later he was assigned to handle full time on Trading Restructure as Vice President – Strategic Planning, the new structure was implemented, 9 months later, he was assigned to take a front roles as Vice President - Petrochemical & Feedstock Global Trade, with the Volume size of 4 million tons every year on Petrochemical Products for another 4 and a half years.

    Oct 2017; he resumed a new role as Vice President – Business New S-Curve for PTTPLC and Apr 2018; expand scope to drive Industrial Transformation for Thailand as Robotics AI & Intelligent Solution Project as a current status.

    Chevy is an expert 3D CAD/CAM/CAE professional who has been an avid SOLIDWORKS user since learning it in university. SOLIDWORKS played a major part throughout his evolving professional journey as engineer, designer, educator, entrepreneur, and now, channel business professional. He has held several portfolios in Dassault Systèmes Professional Solutions, including managing the commercial multi-products solutions, and education businesses, with the main objective of helping companies become more profitable by designing better products more rapidly with SOLIDWORKS’ unified platform of 3D software solutions.

    Chevy is currently the Territory Sales Manager of ASEAN-North, working with partners to ensure that customers in countries such as Cambodia, Myanmar, Laos, Thailand, Vietnam and Philippines, continue to be engaged with the SOLIDWORKS suite of solutions.

    Chevy holds professional certifications in both technical and channel sales field. In recognition of his contribution to furthering the use of 3D applications in the education industry, Chevy was awarded the SOLIDWORKS Elite Applications Engineer award in 2013.

    Chevy actively contributes to CAD/CAM/CAE student competitions in the region as adviser and judge. He served on technical working groups for the World Skills Singapore competition, as well as other student competitions whenever he's not traveling.

    He was born on October 13th 1957. He is a graduate from ESSEC (Higher School for Commercial and Economic Sciences) and from ENA (National School of Administration).

    He started his diplomatic career in Addis-Ababa, then spent a few years in the EU department in Paris. After a posting to the UN mission in New York, he was appointed deputy director of the UN Department in the ministry, and then minister-counsellor in Tokyo.

    In 1999, he became European advisor to the President of the Republic, and then Ambassador to Malaysia. He returned to Paris in 2005 as Director for Economic and Financial Affairs and was appointed in 2007 as Diplomatic Advisor to the Prime Minister.

    Ambassador to South Africa from 2009 to 2012, he was Ambassador for climate change negotiations from January 2013 until September 2014 and Ambassador to Sweden from 2014 to 2017.

    Dr. Nakavachara received a Ph.D. in Economics from University of Southern California. She also holds a Master’s degree in Applied Economics from University of Michigan (Ann Arbor) and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering (honors) from Chulalongkorn University.

    Dr. Nakavachara is currently a full-time lecturer at Faculty of Economics, Chulalongkorn University. She established a class on the Digital and Innovative Economy that involves analyzing the new economy that embraces fast-changing and disruptive technology. She is also interested in research related to the Digital Economy, Artificial Intelligence, and Blockchain Economics. Her work includes analyzing big data to answer economics questions, examining the impact of technology on the labor market, and modeling digital tokens in the blockchain-based economy. She also teaches Labor Economics and Managerial Economics.

    Dr. Nakavachara has published several academic papers in internationally accepted journals such as The Economic Journal, Applied Economic Letters, and Journal of Asian Economics. She also regularly writes op-ed articles in local newspapers. Prior to joining Chulalongkorn University, she worked several years in private sector in the United States and Thailand.

    Charles is currently director of thought leadership research for Asia, where he covers a territory spanning from Australia to India.     A native Australian, Charles is currently based in Singapore and has most recently managed the regions technology research practice. Leading a number of projects analysing the implication for business of new technology trends such as Industry 4.0, smart cities, big data, cloud computing, entrepreneurship and the internet of things, for the Commonwealth Bank, ANZ, Cisco, Telstra, Microsoft, Wipro, Akamai and the Singapore government. He is a frequent speaker at finance and technology events, recently giving keynote presentations at events in Singapore, Sydney, Jakarta and Hong Kong.

    Prior to joining the Economist Group, Charles ran an investor communications consultancy where he managed stakeholder research projects and developed an index which tracked the corporate governance practices of emerging markets companies. Prior to that he founded a firm which manages initial public offerings across Europe, North America and Asia.

    Charles holds a masters in business administration, focusing on strategy and organisational change, from the University of Oxford.

    Dr. Yong Chern Chet (Chet) joined Ananda Development in March 2017 in the role of Chief Innovation Officer bringing with him complementing executive leadership experience across a variety of areas including strategic foresight; futures studies, business model innovation, investment due diligence, risk advisory, business operations consulting and clinical practice management. Under Dr. Yong’s leadership, in July 2018 Ananda Development’s corporate innovation achievements were acknowledged via an Enterprise Innovation Award at the 24th Asia IoT Business Platform for the use of Big Data and Machine Learning technology to enhance business operations. Subsequently, in September 2018 Ananda Development was again successful as the Thailand winner of IDC’s Asia Pacific Digital Transformation Awards (DXa) 2018 under the Operation Model Master category.  

    Prior to joining Ananda, Dr. Yong was Vice President at Parkway Pantai and the CEO of ParkwayHealth Laboratories. As the company head and transformation architect of Parkway’s clinical diagnostics division, he achieved quick successful turnaround of the business by embedding innovation and digital capability within core operations resulting in business performance that successfully surpassed growth and profitability targets.   

    While in management consulting, Dr Yong was the Healthcare Industries Sector Leader for Deloitte Southeast Asia and a Director for the Risk Advisory function. He was also the Head of Deloitte’s Future Healthcare Centre of Excellence; a Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB) supported thought leadership initiative.

    As a medical doctor, he held clinical leadership and operations management roles with Raffles Medical Group. He started his clinical career with National Healthcare Group (NHG) where he underwent general surgery and orthopaedics training at the National University Hospital (NUH) in Singapore.
