Sudhanshu MANI retired in the apex grade of Government of India from the Indian Railways (IR) Service of Mech. Engg. as General Manager, Integral Coach Factory, Chennai after serving Indian Railways for 38 years. He also served as Railway Advisor in the Embassy of India, Berlin for 3 years, lesioning and interacting with railways systems in Europe and other advanced countries on behalf of IR. He is a Fellow of Institute of Mechanical Engineers, London. He led the Train 18/Vande Bharat Express project, the first ever indigenous semi high-speed train of India, from concept to delivery.
He has authored six books, including four on a subject he has special passion for, art and railways, one each on environment and greenery and the last one on his journey of Train 18 project. He now works as an independent consultant but is also engaged in multiple activities like serving on Advisory & Editorial Board of leading Railway & Metro journals, writer for leading journals and portals, organization of Awadh Conclave (a festival of free thought), Keynote/stand-alone speaker and panellist on platforms such as IIMs, IITs, TEDx, PMI & CII conferences, anchor for news analysis, art and cultural on YouTube channel thepublic.india and promotion and curation of Visual Arts in association with a prominent art gallery of Lucknow. He writes regularly on engineering, project management, current affairs, art and literature in his blog.
Currently Mandar works with Kirloskar as Group CTO. Earlier he was working with TUV-SUD South Asia in Capacity of Head – IT infrastructure for APAC Region. In his previous role he has worked as a GM operations in Cummins and prior to Cummins as Principal Consultant position in Tech Mahindra. He comes with rich experience of 25+years across IT, Telecom , BFSI ,Engg and Automotive domain. He is also Certified Cyber crime consultant (with Certified Ethical Hacker certification and Forensic lab professional certification) and as part of CSR ,supports Police & Lawyers in cyber crime cases. Currently Pursuing CCISO (Certified Chief Information Security Officer) Certification.
His educational qualification includes Bachelors of Engineering in Mechanical, Post graduation Diploma in Business administration (finance).
In his career span he has worked across entire areas of IT including IT development cycle , Operations, Infrastructure management and Information security.
His hobbies are playing musical instruments, travelling, trekking , cycling, writing blogs and swimming.
