Join this Tech Talk and learn more about the new workflow: Reverbration Chamber Simulation.
This is the first webinar in a series of three about EMC simulation in the design process. EMC is a critical consideration in the early design stages of electronic products. To mitigate potential risks, early-stage risk assessment methodologies must be established. This presentation focuses on evaluating shielding effectiveness (SE) as a key factor in EMC performance.
We explore SE through three main aspects: (1) a comparison of simulation results with analytical equations to assess predictive accuracy, (2) an investigation of different source and probe configurations to understand their impact on the shielding effectiveness, and (3) a real-world case study examining the shielding effectiveness of a vehicle battery. By integrating these approaches, we provide a structured methodology for early-stage EMC risk assessment, enabling more informed design decisions and improved electromagnetic performance.
