Join this Tech Talk and learn more about main e-NVH risks in a typical electric powertrain driven by a 48-slot 8-pole IPMSM and more.
Including variable speed e-NVH requirements in a virtual prototyping workflow of electric drives can be a simulation bottleneck due to the multiphysic nature of magnetic noise & vibrations. Results may be difficult to interpret as many excitation harmonics and structural modes are involved.
SIMULIA Manatee uses specialized algorithms to accelerate e-NVH computing time, and provides dedicated tools to quickly identify the root cause of noise and vibrations. Besides, noise mitigation techniques such as notching and skewing can be efficiently implemented in the same GUI.
In this Tech Talk, different parameter sweeps are presented, demonstrating which variables are the most influential. A 10dB noise reduction is obtained with less than 10mn of calculations using rotor notching technique.
