Brent is a structures specialist for SIMLUIA at Dassault Systèmes, currently supporting the Aerospace and Defense market segment. He brings a diverse experience base centered around the development and application of finite element codes and associated workflows in regulatory environments. His career has included multiple roles across a range of industry segments, spanning multi-scale mine geomechanics to leading analysis teams dedicated to aero-engine technology development, championing integration of optimization and robust design workflows to drive method enhancements associated with airfoil dynamics, fatigue, fracture and creep analysis. Brent holds a PhD in computational mechanics, and bachelor’s degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Applied Mathematics from the University of Western Australia, with specialist knowledge in process development and workflow automation, python integration and automation, computational strength and life assessment and a keen interest in digital twin and probabilistic analysis paradigms.
Christophe KLEINCLAUS, leads a team in the Aerospace & Defense industry, with focus on Propulsion and Turbomachinery. He and his team develop methodologies to validate and streamline simulation workflows across SIMULIA’s entire portfolio to address the specific needs of the turbomachinery market.
Christophe holds an M.Sc in Aerospace Engineering from ISAE in Toulouse. He started his career at MTU Aero Engines, working on blade design and process optimization for LP turbines and HP compressors. In 2007 he joined the PowerFLOW team in Munich to support the deployment of LBM fluid simulation across several industries: from aero-thermal for cars and trucks to aero-acoustics for the aerospace market.
In the last five years, his focus is back to turbomachinery, combining his engineering background and long experience in flow-driven simulation to address the requirements of this demanding segment. He and his team have the target to align customer present and future workflows with SIMULIA’s capabilities to help turbomachinery customer through the upcoming challenges.
