Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) is a well-known, structured approach used to identify and mitigate the risk of different types of failure. It's basic form can be traced back more than 70 years over which time it has evolved to suit a range of applications across multiple industries. This presentation will provide examples of how the FMEA continues to adapt as a basis for decision support as traditional engineering organizations themselves evolve into model-based digital enterprises.
