Join this Tech Talk and learn more about the new workflow: Reverbration Chamber Simulation.
This is the second webinar in a series of three about EMC simulation in the design process. EMC simulations play a crucial role in the design of electronic systems, enabling early validation and optimization of product performance. This presentation demonstrates the application of EMC simulation in the design of a high-voltage filter. We begin by defining the key performance metrics for the filter and modeling emission sources to establish design constraints. Based on these requirements, we select an appropriate filter topology and develop a circuit-level implementation. In the second phase, the circuit is translated into a 3D geometry, where we examine the design of the inductive filter element and analyze the impact of 3D parasitics on overall performance. This approach highlights the advantages of simulation-driven design in achieving robust EMC performance while optimizing efficiency and reliability.
