Pia Sandvik has been the CEO of RISE Research Institutes of Sweden since 2016. Sandvik has a doctorate degree in quality technology from Linköping University and is an associate professor at Luleå University of Technology.
She has been in executive and leading positions in academia, industry and the public sector for nearly 20 years, including President of Luleå University of Technology, and CEO of a financial company in banking and insurance. She has experience as chair and board member in both the public and private sector including research funding agencies, the financial services industry and the real estate sector.
During 2015-2016 Sandvik was one of four members in the Advisory Board to the Minister of Enterprise and Innovation regarding the Swedish strategy for Smart Industry. She is Vice Chairman of the board of KTH Royal Institute of Technology. She is also board member of Prevas, an engineering and technology consulting company, listed on the NASDAQ OMX Nordic Exchange, of ALMI, which offers financing, venture capital and business development to companies, and of the Swedish Entrepreneurship Forum. She is fellow and Vice Chairman of the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences (IVA).
Alan PRIOR leads the Industry Consulting organisation, supporting all the sales engagement teams for Dassault Systèmes in the EuroNorth region.
Alan worked in the UK defence industry before moving into the analysis software business in 1990. He spent 5 years managing technical sales & support teams, and ten years as UK General Manager of the Abaqus company, which was acquired by Dassault Systèmes in 2005 to form the SIMULIA brand.
In a 35-year career Alan has held a number of senior positions in technical support, technical sales and major account management and led the worldwide centre of excellence for SIMULIA.
Alan obtained a BSc in Mechanical Engineering, followed by a PhD in Impact Dynamics. He is a Chartered Engineer and a Fellow of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers.
Caoimhe KIELY is Vice President of Marketing and Communications at Dassault Systèmes (including Accelrys and QUMAS) since 2008, and is responsible for leading transformational marketing and communications to create sustainable innovation & growth. Caoimhe has a Masters in Political Science from University College Dublin, and has held leadership positions in industry for nearly 20 years, including life sciences and financial services industries, as well as in academia.
