On June 28, you´re invited to the next x meets Aviation event by ZAL GmbH, in cooperation with Dassault Systèmes.
One element of CE to tackle global and environmental challenges is designing reusable products. We will have a focal point with the "Cradle to Cradle" (C2C) principle: an approach to an end-to-end, consistent Circular Economy. With the goal of aircraft designed and manufactured to be recyclable, we will closely look into materials used in aviation in a holistic view of the complete design and production process. Digital technologies, such as the Internet of Things, big data, and data analytics are considered essential enablers of the CE. Another aspect we would like to address is how an industrial system such as aviation (which uses digital technologies along the product lifecycle phases) can implement circular strategies.
After the lectures, the day will progress with an introduction of the other participants and a shared lunch. Following that, we will dive into a workshop in a World Café format where you’ll benefit from an interdisciplinary exchange with the other participants, focusing on the benefits and challenges that come with the transition to a circular economy.
