This presentation will provide an overview of modeling and simulation (MODSIM) technologies on the Dassault Systèmes 3DEXPERIENCE Platform to drive the structure design of EV’s battery-carrying space. This workflow leverages a unified data model (CAD in CATIA and CAE in SIMULIA Abaqus), an innovative MODSIM approach for process automation captured by Concept Structure Engineer. Additionally, Visual Scripting captures design automation, which allows robust and intelligent design iterations.
The value of the workflow is highlighted through the example of battery pack structure, which starts with conceptual geometry, which is very design resilient, defining metallic material definition on surfaces, which allows structural simulations and results post-processing. Finally, a guided design space exploration to make data-driven decisions for the best design direction.
