This talk with Guido Reimann and Johannes Olbort focuses on the maturity of Industrial AI by presenting and discussing the results of the latest VDMA study and the most recent developments from Dassault Systèmes. The emphasis here is not on sensationalist, exaggerated claims, but rather on practical use cases that deliver real added value. The examples presented and discussed come from industrialization, operations engineering, computer-aided manufacturing, and computer-aided robotics, and address the use of generative experiences and virtual companions. However, in these scenarios, the use of Industrial AI only adds value under the right conditions, and these must be weighed against costs and sustainability considerations.
