CFD technologies based on LBM solve complex flow problems in the defense sector. While many believe LBM tools like SIMULIA's PowerFLOW only handle low-speed flows, we have expanded this technology over the past decade to manage transonic and supersonic flows up to Mach 2.
PowerFLOW simulates highly unsteady flows much faster than the competing Navier-Stokes tools. It resolves geometric details critical for flow separations and provides superior accuracy through low dissipation. We pair this with SIMULIA's Navier-Stokes based 3DEXPERIENCE Fluids solver to handle traditional steady-state simulations.
