Discuss how companies must place sustainability at the core of their project delivery in the construction sector.
Vietnam's construction industry is booming. As part of the government’s resolution on the planning, management and sustainable development of Vietnam’s urban areas by 2030, the country is spending 6% of its GDP annually on infrastructure projects – the highest in the region, and has also called on developers to increase affordable social housing for its citizens.
These directives bring to light challenges for the construction industry in Vietnam. Large infrastructure and development projects are more complex and difficult to manage for a fragmented industry. Increased urbanization is also driving the construction ecosystem to look at the impact they have during project delivery as well as the lifecycle of the project.
In our panel discussion "Future Sustainable Cities in Vietnam – Transformation of the Construction Industry", we will explore the challenges the construction industry faces in Vietnam, how the private sector plays a part in the building of future sustainable cities in the country, and how businesses can deliver more complex projects with less waste, cost and impact to the environment.
