In this e-seminar, we will present an electromagnetic analysis workflow of an open-rotor concept aircraft design in standardized electromagnetic environments for lightning, HIRF and EMP.
Successful certification requires aerospace manufacturers to demonstrate that aerospace systems function harmoniously in their electromagnetic environment, without introducing intolerable electromagnetic interference. The electromagnetic environment includes all natural and man-made phenomena at the given installation location. Analysis and physical test are known verification methods to demonstrate compliance with aerospace system in electromagnetic environments regulations.
Model based EMC engineering is an analysis technology to complement physical testing. The visualization of electromagnetic fields provides insight into the interaction of electromagnetic fields and aerospace systems. This knowledge also allows engineers to more easily design and optimize better electromagnetic environmental effects protections and to design for EMC. With that, analysis allows for a more complete EMC assessment, a reduction of physical test time and a cost reduction of an aerospace certification program.
