Vincent WIERS obtained his Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering and Management Science in 1993 at the Eindhoven University of Technology (TUE), specializing in Information Systems for Production and Inventory Control. In 1997, he achieved his Ph.D. on the Human Factor in Production Control at the same university. After working for various consulting companies in knowledge technology and supply chain management, Vincent founded the consultancy company Twinlog in 2003, focusing on implementing the DELMIA Quintiq planning software.
In 2019, Vincent decided to join Dassault Systèmes as part of the DELMIA Brand organization. Now, as part of the team of Industry Process Experts, he focuses on planning architectures, and creating a bridge between complex manufacturing companies and the DELMIA Quintiq supply chain planning and optimization solutions.
Besides his professional pursuits, Vincent WIERS is a well-respected author. He has published various books on Production Control, Supply Chain Management and Advanced Planning & Scheduling. He has also written numerous papers and blog posts on this topic. Demonstrating a commitment to education and training, Vincent facilitates the yearly Master’s course on Advanced Planning & Scheduling at TUE.
In his current role, Bas VAN DER BIJL is responsible for the logistics domain within DELMIA. His responsibility ranges from defining the development strategy for our logistics solution to supporting our customers worldwide with their business challenges and transformations targeting cost-efficiency, resilience, and sustainability. Before joining Dassault Systemes, Bas worked for over 10 years in the Smart Mobility sector, where he launched multiple innovative solutions.
Richard VAN MERSBERGEN studied Social Science Informatics at the University of Amsterdam. He began his career as a knowledge engineer at Bolesian in Helmond, the Netherlands. Following this, he co-founded Explicit Knowledge, where he worked as a Java developer and knowledge engineer. During this period, he also collaborated with Quintiq, undertaking several implementations in the role of a developer.
In 2005, Richard officially joined Dassault Systèmes, taking on roles as a developer and technical consultant for DELMIA Quintiq projects in the metals industry. Over the years, he has expanded his focus to include workforce planning as well as fleet and crew planning. Currently, Richard serves as a Solution Architect with the DELMIA Brand Services team, supporting DELMIA Quintiq projects worldwide. He also documents and shares best practices to benefit the entire DELMIA Quintiq community.
